“Pouilly-Fuissé” is not a single village but a territory: four communes — Chaintré, Fuissé, Solutré-Pouilly and Vergisson — nestled in a cirque of slopes south of Mâcon. The good news for the visitor: everything is ten minutes from everything, and every bend offers a new view over the vines and the rocks.
What to see, what to do
Start by gaining height — the Rock of Solutré or that of Vergisson — to grasp the appellation’s geography at a glance. Then wander the villages: wash-houses, Romanesque churches, golden stone houses. Then comes the wine: it is in a cellar, glass in hand, that the appellation tells its story best — notably the revolution of the Premiers Crus recognised in 2020, which every winegrower will recount in their own way.
Tasting at the estate
Our cellar is in the hamlet of Pouilly, Impasse du Tonnelier, in the heart of our vines. We welcome you by appointment, morning or afternoon, for a guided tasting of our cuvées — from the Mâcon-Solutré-Pouilly to the four Premiers Crus, by way of the Vieilles Vignes. Alone, as a couple or in a small group: just tell us when you are passing by.
