Our appellations

The Mâcon-Solutré-Pouilly appellation

The village Mâcon of our heights, at the foot of the Rock of Solutré.

Within the vast regional Mâcon appellation, recognised as early as 1937, certain villages have earned the right to append their name to Mâcon. Solutré-Pouilly is one of them: Mâcon-Solutré-Pouilly is our village’s wine, grown on the slopes that look up at the Rock of Solutré.

The heights of the hamlet

Our cuvée is born of a blend of parcels on the heights of the hamlet of Pouilly, at 280 metres: 2 hectares of well-ventilated, east-facing clay-limestone soils carrying 45-year-old vines. Altitude and the morning exposure preserve the Chardonnay’s freshness, even in hot summers.

The style: fruit and energy

Aged in stainless steel, our Mâcon-Solutré-Pouilly plays the fruit card: crisp yellow fruit, charming amplitude, mineral energy. It is the wine of reunions and simple tables — aperitif, snails, grilled fish, roast poultry, fresh cheeses. Drink within 3 years, served at 13 °C, at a gentle price: the best gateway into the estate’s style.
