If ever a vintage was won in the vines rather than in the cellar, it is 2024. A copiously watered spring and early summer installed mildew pressure of a kind rarely seen, demanding constant presence in the vineyard. Those who held firm harvested less, but harvested well.
Freshness as a signature
A summer without excessive heat led to September harvests with classic balances: measured degrees, assertive acidities, aromas of citrus, green apple and white flowers. The whites of 2024 are wines of freshness and precision — digestible, mouth-watering, cut out for the table.
Our Vieilles Vignes 2024
This is the vintage of our Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes currently on sale: the natural depth of our vines of 65 years and more gave flesh to the freshness of the vintage, for an airy, satin-textured, vibrant wine. Enjoy it now with fine fish, or cellar it for 5 to 8 years.
